San Antonio Cruise Port Shore Excursions
Private tours from San Antonio (STI) cruise terminal · Driver and English-speaking guide · Planned around your all-aboard time
San Antonio is Chile’s busier cargo port and, increasingly, a cruise stop for ships arriving on longer South American itineraries. It’s 115 km south of Santiago and 100 km south of Valparaíso — close enough to make the Chilean capital or the Casablanca wine valley a realistic day trip, and far enough that logistics and timing matter. OCATOUR meets you at the terminal, drives you privately in English, and plans the day so you’re back at the ship with time to spare.
Why book directly with OCATOUR
- Private only. Your vehicle, your guide, your pace. No shared vans, no shopping detours.
- Driver plus an English-speaking guide.
- Built around all-aboard. We plan the day backwards from your all-aboard time, with margin for the drive back to port.
- Route awareness. Ruta 78 to Santiago has predictable rush-hour congestion; we build itineraries around it.
- Since 1992 receiving passengers across Valparaíso, San Antonio and the central coast.
Meeting point at the San Antonio cruise terminal
We meet you at the STI (Terminal Marítima San Antonio) passenger disembarkation gate with a printed “OCATOUR” sign. San Antonio’s terminal is smaller than Valparaíso’s, with a single arrivals point, so we’re easy to find. Disembarkation for private tour guests is typically 20-25 minutes once the ship is cleared. Your driver has your ship’s ETA, your cabin’s disembarkation code and a mobile number for real-time coordination.

Because Santiago is 115 km inland and Ruta 78 can slow during rush hour, we plan the return backwards from your all-aboard time, with margin, and monitor traffic live during the drive. When we quote, we confirm what time you’ll be back at the terminal.

Frequently asked questions
How far is Santiago from San Antonio port?
115 km via Ruta 78. Off-peak driving time is about 90 minutes; add 30 minutes if returning during Santiago’s afternoon rush hour, which we plan around.
Can I combine San Antonio arrival with a stop in Valparaíso?
Yes. San Antonio to Valparaíso is 100 km along the coast (2 hours via Isla Negra). Combined with Isla Negra and Neruda’s house, it’s a rewarding 8-hour day.
Do you accept ship-issued shore excursion vouchers?
No. We’re an independent operator; you book directly with us and set your own itinerary.
What if the ship diverts to Valparaíso instead of San Antonio?
Cruise lines occasionally swap the port at short notice. If your ship redirects to Valparaíso, we coordinate with you to meet you there and adjust the itinerary.
