Santiago packs Chile’s history into a few kilometres: the Civic Centre with La Moneda Palace, the founding Plaza de Armas with its Cathedral, Santa Lucía Hill where the city was born in 1541, and the modern districts of the east side, with the Andes always in the background.
On this private half-day tour your guide takes you through the historic centre on foot and by vehicle, up San Cristóbal Hill for a view of the whole city, and on to the districts of Vitacura, Las Condes and Providencia. It’s the ideal introduction to Santiago in three and a half hours, starting from your hotel.

- Civic Centre and La Moneda Palace: today’s seat of government, built in colonial times as the royal mint.
- Plaza de Armas: Santiago Cathedral (1775), the Central Post Office (1882) and the pedestrian streets Ahumada and Huérfanos.
- Club de la Unión, National Library and Santa Lucía Hill: the site where Santiago was founded in February 1541.
- Lastarria district: the heart of the city’s artistic and cultural life, with galleries, cafés and restaurants.
- San Cristóbal Hill: up to the viewpoint, 880 metres above sea level, for a complete view of the city and the Andes.
- Vitacura, Las Condes and Providencia: the modern districts with their high-rises and shopping malls. Return to your hotel.

How much walking is there?
Short stretches in the historic centre — Plaza de Armas, the pedestrian streets, the Lastarria district — and the rest by vehicle. It’s a relaxed-pace tour.
